Blackberry to come pre-loaded on Android
Blackberry to come pre-loaded on Android devices: Report
BlackBerry has announced that it will be launching the BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) service on other operating systems namely iOS and Android in order to expand its reach. However, that is not all as Cnet in its report has quoted chief operating officer Kristian Tear who says that the BBM service might as well come pre-loaded on certain devices and the company is in talks with potential mobile players about the same. He also added that other handset makers have shown interest in this proposal.
As far as the name of the partners go, though Tear has not revealed any name but considering that players like Samsung and Apple have their own messaging service like ChatOn and iMessage, we doubt if the BBM will ever come pre-loaded on their devices. Though it is possible that the service will come preloaded on devices by other vendors.
Also, the BBM app for Android and iOS will not be available with all the features it offers on BlackBerry devices, or will come with restricted usage or limited features. Though, BlackBerry has promised that eventually all the features will come to iOS and Android too.
